Makeup Products I’ve Used And Are Certainly Worth The Hype

There are so many products on the market; it becomes hard to tell which is important and worth the hype. The most talked-about products aren’t necessarily the best products, and sometimes the best products aren’t talked about enough. The fact that a product is from a popular brand doesn’t mean it will do so well. Many products are hyped simply because they are from popular brands, not because they are of the best quality.

It can be really disheartening to pay so much for a product, only to find out that it doesn’t deliver on the quality as promised. However, certain products live up to the expectations and are certainly worth all the hype they get. These products are among my top favourite products and brands.

Here are my top products that are worth the money and all the hype.

1. Foundation

Having the right foundation that not only matches your skin tone but suits your type of skin is very crucial. By now, we all know that the foundation is one of the most important parts of makeup. It serves as your base and determines how your overall look will turn out. These are my absolute favourite foundations that I’ve found work for me and give me a look I desire.

  • Fenty Beauty Filt’r Hydrating Foundation

Fenty Beauty is a widely acclaimed brand, and we all love the face of the brand, Rihanna. It isn’t just one of the most talked-about brands for nothing. The Pro Filt’r foundation gives one of the best matte finishes that lasts all day. It is my go-to foundation on days when I want a dewy finish makeup, even with my oily skin type. . It has a wide shade range making it one of the most inclusive foundation brands in the market. Every time I have to come up with a list of foundations, the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r has to be on that list – it is that good.

  • Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

Estee Lauder is a top-notch brand that also has one of the best foundations in the market. The foundation comes in a wide variety of shades to choose from as well, and it is one of the best foundations for combination or oily skin types. It promises to give you 24 hours of wear, and I assure you, it delivers on that promise. The foundation is oil-free, waterproof, and humidity-resistant – all the things I love and should look out for in a foundation. It is buildable as it gives you medium to full coverage, depending on how light or heavy you need to go. The foundation is soft matte, matte without making you look cakey at all.

  • NARS Soft Matte Foundation

The NARS soft matte foundation hasn’t disappointed me ever since I got it. It’s absolutely one of my best foundations that I use combined with the other two mentioned earlier. The formula is just right, and I think better than the radiant long-wear foundation, in my opinion. It gives full coverage, it is transfer-proof, oxidation-resistant, and I confidently get about 16 hours long makeup look whenever I use it.  There are 34 shades to select from, ensuring there is something for everyone. It is definitely a foundation that lasts long, feels, and looks like your second skin. True to shade and all its promises, the NARS soft matte foundation is unarguably one of the best and fan favourites of consumers – myself included.

2. Eyeshadow

Eyeshadow is one of the best parts of makeup. You get to mix and match colours and create something truly artistic that highlights the eyes. Your eye makeup is just as important as the rest of your makeup, and s you should get the best eyeshadows that provide you with great quality.

  • Fenty Beauty Snap Shadow

I don’t always use eyeshadows, but I love a very natural eye look when I do. The Fenty beauty snap shadows “True Neutrals” is my go-to palette to achieve a flawless neutral eyeshadow look like a pro.  Just like the name implies.  There are other different palettes in the snap shadows collection with a nice mix of colours to suit you. It goes on smoothly; even without an eyeshadow base, it is very pigmented, and the best part is convenient and fits well in your purse or handbag.

3. Lip

If you follow me on social media, you already know I love a nude, glossy lip – when I have makeup on.

  • Fenty Beauty gloss bomb in  Fussy

The Fenty beauty gloss bomb is my all-time favourite lip gloss.  It doesn’t only look good but feels great. Fussy is a soft dusty pink shimmery shade that gives your lips just the right look. The gloss bomb gives a great amount of shine to your lips without making you look weird. It moisturizes and stays on for the better part of the day.

4. Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder

When it comes to setting my makeup, I always reach for my Laura Mercier setting powder. The powder is easy to apply, super lightweight, and very easy to blend. It effectively eliminates whatever shine is left after applying foundation and makes my makeup last much longer. One of the reasons why your makeup can get cakey is if you don’t use the right setting powder, with this setting powder, you don’t have to worry about that. I also love it because it doesn’t give flashbacks  in your pictures or videos, making you look like a ghost. It does not cake, block your pores, and is oil-free—certainly a must-have for all makeup lovers.

5. Fenty Beauty  Contour Stix

Yes, it’s another Fenty beauty product again – it’s just that good. The contour stix in the shade ‘espresso’ is my best contour stick to use daily for all occasions. The contour stick comes in a variety of shades and gives that defined look without being too harsh. It is easy to blend and goes very well with any skin type, so no need to worry if you have an oily or combination skin type. It is buildable, lightweight, and stays right in place all day.

6. Inglot Gel Liner

If you’ve been wondering how I achieve my super dark liner looks, then you’re in luck. The Inglot gel liner is very pigmented and gives me that smooth, dry finish after applying it. The formula is creamy and dries immediately to give a long-lasting look that doesn’t smudge or crease up. Just a little goes a long way, and you can go over it a few more times depending on how dark you want the look.

7. Milk HydroGrip Primer

Last but not least, ‘ not to prime is a crime’ is my all-time favourite primer, the Milk Hydrogrip primer. The primer gives a long-lasting hold but is also hydrating. This primer is a fan favourite, and my best so far. It keeps my makeup in place for most of the day, keeping all the oils and sweat at bay. It helps to even the skin texture, making it easy to apply your makeup. A good primer is essential to long-lasting and flawless makeup.

Now you know my best go-to products that give me that flawless look on my Insta. Yes, Fenty beauty is one of my favourite brands, and I have a Full Face makeup tutorial using only Fenty Beauty products, and it was indeed flawless. These products are tested and trusted, and I still use them for my everyday makeup looks.
